“Beginning well is a momentary thing; finishing well is a lifelong thing.” – Ravi Zacharias
When I hear this quote, it brings to mind how many times I started something and quit or dropped it midway through, as well as the feelings of inadequacy that came with that. With maturity, I’ve come to realize that how I do little things is how I do everything. I chose carefully what I put my time into and aim to bring it to completion and do so with integrity. I’ve learned to not just rely on myself and my ideas, rather to take my ideas and check with God first before acting on them. With His guidance I save myself from going down rabbit holes and coming up empty handed. It helps me live a life of purpose, something so much greater than myself. Most importantly, I want to finish my life journey well, to know that when it is all said and done I can stand before my Father in heaven and hear him say these words; “well done my good and faithful servant”.
